The successful incumbent for this position will be hired within an annualized salary range of $78,000 - $91,767,
depending on qualifications for the position. The maximum in this pay scale is $114,709. Pay above the
midpoint to the maximum is typically reserved for employees with sustained performance and established
longevity in the position at Douglas PUD.

POSITION SUMMARY:
The Facilities Coordinator manages building and grounds maintenance for the District’s East Wenatchee
Headquarters location, as well as coordinates and oversees facilities related construction projects. This position
provides direct supervision of facilities and grounds staff and contractors.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
• Coordinate, oversee, and manage repair and maintenance work performed by District staff and/or
contractors performing building maintenance, landscaping, and janitorial work.
• Coordinate construction projects and manage related contracts for East Wenatchee headquarters
facilities, Bridgeport facilities, and other remote locations ensuring timely completion of projects within
budgetary constraints.
• Manage, direct, and evaluate facilities personnel and manage contractor relationships.
• Perform regular building and grounds inspections to identify and address maintenance needs promptly.
Respond to building maintenance requests. Responsible for facilities inspections and reports.

• Work with the Purchasing Department to obtain and review price quotes for the procurement of parts,
services, and labor for projects.
• Establish annual contracts with qualified contractors for building and equipment services, i.e. window
cleaning, elevator repair, landscaping, and janitorial.
• Respond to calls regarding emergency situations and issues that may occur during normal business hours
and after regular business hours, weekends, and holidays.
• Assist in preparing facilities capital and expense budgets.
• Maintain all aspects of the District’s pool vehicles including scheduling of preventative maintenance and
coordinating with Department Heads and Purchasing Department to retire vehicles and purchase new
vehicles.
• Responsible for the District’s fueling contract and fuel card issuing and reporting at East Wenatchee
headquarters.
• Arrange maintenance and servicing of District owned electric vehicle charging stations.
• Support the District’s mission and value statements in the performance of job duties.
• Work respectfully and cooperatively with diverse groups of people and maintain professional interactions at
all times in the workplace.

• Adhere to the District’s Safety Policy and Procedures.
• Operate District vehicles that may be equipped with a GPS device that monitors vehicle location while
conducting business on behalf of the District.
Due to the nature and scope of the essential functions, the importance of personal interactions between this
position, employees and contractors, and the availability of job-related tools, equipment and resources at
work, performance of the essential functions requires regular, consistent, on-site attendance while working
independently and with others.
REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE/SKILLS/ABILITIES:
• Knowledge of materials, methods, and tools involved in construction.
• General knowledge of safety standards and regulations.
• Ability to comprehend, analyze, and interpret complex documents.
• Develop a good understanding of District procurement and contract methods.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks with attention to detail and accuracy.
• Technical writing capability.
• Strong oral, written, and interpersonal communication skills.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office application products.
• Ability to learn purchasing software and work order management software.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
A minimum of three (3) years facilities management experience or experience in a similar career level occupation.
Prior supervisory and project management experience preferred. Bachelor’s degree in construction management,
project management, or related field, or the equivalent combination of education and experience to provide the
necessary knowledge, skills, and abilities.

CERTIFICATIONS:
A valid driver's license and proof of good driving record is required for this position (will be verified upon job
offer). Out-of-state candidates must acquire a Washington State driver's license within 30 days of employment.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently required to stand, walk; sit; use hands to
finger, handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms; climb or balance; stoop, kneel, crouch, crawl or twist torso;
pull, push, or exert force; perform repetitive hand or arm motion; talk or hear. Work is performed primarily in
an office environment, but the employee may occasionally perform fieldwork and site inspections. The noise
level is usually moderate.
